Getting to Know Jacquie Bushell, Your Kelowna Mortgage Broker

You might not meet me in person. Many of my clients don’t. We speak by phone, text, and share documents as we move through each step together. Behind all of that, there is a real person guiding you, someone who takes this work seriously because I know what home means.

My name is Jacquie. I’ve built a life around showing up for my clients, my family, and my community. I became a mom quite young. Raising my son, Andrew, on my own shaped everything that came after. We grew up together. I learned how to stand on my own, how to care for someone else while still figuring out who I was. Ten years later, when my daughter Darby was born, I had the chance to be the kind of parent she needed from the start, steady, rooted, and present.

Those years taught me resilience, independence, patience, and the quiet strength that comes from hope. I carry that into my work every day.

If there’s one thing to know about how I approach both life and mortgages, it’s this: I will always meet you where you are. No judgment. No pressure. Just support, clarity, and calm. I believe in telling the truth kindly. I don’t gloss over the hard parts, but I don’t leave you to face them alone either.

Outside of work, I find joy in small, grounded things. I love to cook real food, flour and water into bread still feels like magic to me.

I dig in the garden whenever I can. I walk with my dog, Walter. I believe airports are peaceful, not stressful. I love the rhythm of travel, the balance between movement and pause.

One of the most meaningful roles I carry these days is being “grandma” to Avery J. She’s strong, funny, and curious. She reminds me every day that the most important work we do is often quiet and behind the scenes.

I’m also deeply involved in my community as President of the Pandosy Neighbourhood Association. I care about the spaces we share, our streets, our neighbours, our sense of belonging. That same care extends to my clients. A mortgage isn’t a transaction to me. It’s a doorway, a threshold, the beginning of something important.

When you work with me, you’ll find someone who listens, tells the truth, and takes pride in getting things right. I understand how meaningful homeownership is, and I treat your journey with the respect it deserves.

Mortgages are more than rates.

“Paying down your mortgage doesn’t have to be painful — it needs to be consistent.”
